I would like to build a dial by name directory that references amateur radio operator call signs rather than their names. Typical US callsigns have a numeric value in the 2nd or 3rd position. For example W1XYZ or NE1XY. I tested this with a handful of entries and it appears that the system does not know how to deal with a numeric value in the name field.
Is anyone aware of a way I might do this? Is there a literal flag like I would use in string handling in some programing languages?
