We currently have an older Detewe OpenCom 150 phone system and i'm looking at a view to convert to Asterisk for some increased flexibility.

We have 3x ISDN2e trunks, 5+ analog extensions and then around 40 DECT handsets. The existing box doesnt support SIP and we'd like some more options, but i seem to be struggling with the DECT side of things.

At the moment there are three DECT "antenna modules" placed around the building, which are wired into the OpenCom150, which has a DECT card in it. The phones can roam around the building, and it all just works. We have a small number of Detewe branded handsets, but the majority are Gigaset devices which are synced up using the GAP protocol.

I'm trying to find a similar solution for Asterisk/FreePBX to handle the DECT phones. Gigaset themselves do a few boxes, but from what i can see they are no use as you can only register about 6 phones to it. Theres a writeup on voip-info but its quite old and much of the links/products it recommends seem non-existant, or link to companies wanting to sell me a "solution".

Hopefully someone has done something similar!
