Is there a way to fix the boot sector? Can I download the correct (?) version of centos and fix the boot sector?
What version would I use?

Directory in IVR stopped working

Currently running FreePBX 14.0.13.6

In the IVR we have set the directory to the # key and was always working. Now when someone presses the # the system hangs up. I tried changing it to a number and still the same issue. Guess it could be related to an update on the system.

How can it be fixed ?

Potential Bug on call transfer

@JDEC01 wrote:

Hello,

I noticed a potential “bug” with Asterisk 16 & Freepbx 14.

Context: Call agent 1 transfers call to another agent. This last one is not at his desk.

So Call agent on D70 wants to “take back” the call to inform the caller that the Call agent 2 is absent.

But there is the issue: When taking back the call, Call agent 1 cannot hear anymore the initial caller while this one still can hear Call agent 1. So only one way audio

Any idea where the drop in 2 way audio happens ?

Thanks a million.

Hello all, i have pinset module version 13.0.13 and my freepbx version is FreePBX 13.0.197.8 and asterisk version is 13.17.0. I have 2 T1 trunks, When i define my pinsets on my outbound trunk i am not able to hear a ringtone. When i remove the pinset from the trunk the i will hear a ringtone. I have already tried setting the Asterisk Trunk Dial Options to “r” and even tried “Tr” still the same result. Any advise as to what would be causing the issue.

Caller ID woes

@critchj wrote:

I have a ticket opened with support for this but it seems to be ignored so maybe somebody here will have some idea.

I have two FreePBX 14 servers connected together with an IAX2 trunk. Let’s say PBXA and PBXB. PBXA has an outbound route and a SIP trunk which external calls from both systems go out. The behavior that I want is that the Outbound Caller ID configured on any extension is the outbound caller ID for external calls. I don’t want any outbound or trunk caller ID overriding the extension one.

Calls from PBXA extensions work correctly. Calls from PBXB extensions do go out but display the Caller ID of the external-calls trunk.

The setting “Allow any CID” is set on all of the trunks involved.

On the external calls outbound route “Override extension” is set to “No” and neither Emergency or Intra-company are set.

The section of the log where it appears to change the outbound Caller ID looks like this:

Two trunks to the same provider on one machine, but one up, one down? Need 2 up

@demani wrote:

I have two trunks, one for each group. One trunk is up, and calls work like normal. The other appears to be down (one is listed as down on the Dashboard), and the other group cant call out. I checked Class of Service, and the extensions are split appropriately. The one that doesn’t work gets an “all circuits are busy” message. But the trunk provider says both are registered (and recently). So on their end it looks like both are up.
I do get the following in the logs:
[2019-10-22 03:26:53] ERROR[7385] netsock2.c: getaddrinfo(“provider ip address”, “(null)”, …): Name or service not known
[2019-10-22 03:26:53] WARNING[7385] acl.c: Unable to lookup ‘provider ip address

I’m nut sure where that is pulling from though. Looks like a bad entry is left over, but not sure from what or where.

It could help cut down on the number of posts. Just a thought.

Is it possible to rebuild the extensions? All my extensions stopped working after update

@cdsJerryw wrote:

I had a pile of module updates on my system and did them all. However some of the extensions are acting up now. If you place ext->ext call they work fine. But if someone dials their ext. from in coming trunk the caller will hear it ring a few times and then dead air. The person’s extension will not ring at all. The person at that extension can place outgoing calls. Further, if I set up an inbound route directly to that person’s extension it does ring when someone calls that DID. All the extensions seem to be screwed up.

I’m having this issue on all of the extensions in the company today so I need to solve this fast. I did a full reboot of the system already but that didn’t help. Yum update, Mondale update, system update, all show I’m up to date.

If someone calls my extension, they get a message that the call is being transferred to the operator (and it does). Not a single extension is going where that extension is supposed to go.

IVR not picking up if ring time is set past 10 seconds

@GaryCameron wrote:

On the man line coming in to our facility if the ring time is set longer than 10 seconds the Ivr will not pick up. The phone continues to ring until it times out. The other 3 line pick up just fine. This only happens on 1 server. We have another server at our other location and it works fine. Everything is programmed the same on both servers. Just confused as to what to look for to fix this. When you call the number the phone rings 3 times and hangs up, rings 3 more times and hangs up, and finally rings 3 more time and terminates the call. The call logs are as follows:

I installed the raspbx on a RaspberryPi 3. Everything seemed to work. I downloaded a newer Asterisk 13-28.0, and applied the cisco patch. apt-get remove asterisk ./configure make make install all went fine. Reboot. I can open an asterisk console no problem but freePBX doesn’t connect to it.

Strange Incoming Calls

@JessicaRabbit wrote:

For several months we have experienced strangeness where an incoming voip call rings and displays a cid then changes to ringing both the first line and the second line on the phone and displays “Unknown”. Often we answer and there is no caller.

I do have a check for Spam in Superfecta but have no idea how calls identified as spam are handled by Freepbx or if this is related.

Not sure why this appeared or how to best track down the cause. Any ideas?

Tune Network Stack

Hello everybody… Just wondering if anybody has tweaked their network config to increase buffer memory or suchlike? Experiencing some occasional offline moments which I am guessing may be down to load. I was looking at a couple of generic Linux sites. One says that “The default maximum Linux TCP buffer sizes are way too small”. I see a lot of RX “dropped”:

2: eth0: <BROADCAST,MULTICAST,UP,LOWER_UP> mtu 1500 qdisc mq state UP mode DEFAULT group default qlen 1000
link/ether 00:15:5d:15:70:09 brd ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff
RX: bytes packets errors dropped overrun mcast
11229436143248 46109172374 0 116298721 0 8093868697
TX: bytes packets errors dropped carrier collsns
5165612015349 24987253699 0 0 0 0

… which according to another site is “Possibly due to iptables or other filtering rules, more likely due to lack of network buffer memory”.

Very cautious about changing anything, so wondered if anybody else has?

Thanks, Steve

DAHDI Configuration Alarms on ISDN A500 card shown as 'UNCONFIGURED'

@PeterJ wrote:

Hi,

I’m having some issues getting a Sangoma A500 BRI ISDN card to work under FreePBX 14.0.13.6. The first problem is that in FreePBX GUI ‘DAHDI Configuration’ the Spans are shown as ‘unconfigured’, and obviously I can’t make or receive any external calls.

If I check the channels with ‘wanrouter status’ everything seems fine with the spans showing as ‘connected’.

If I run setup-sangoma again and configure each channel and then go back to ‘DAHDI Configuration’ the Alarms now show as ‘OK’, but the setting changes I had made earlier (in the GUI) for ‘Signaling’ etc have been lost, and if I change them back (or just re-save the config in the GUI) then the Alarms go back to be ‘Unconfigured’

It seems that maybe DAHDI and Wanrouter are fighting to control the card?

Does anyone know what is now the correct way to setup Sangoma cards in FreePBX 14 as I think the documentation may now be out of date? Do I even need to run setup-sangoma and run Wan router at all anymore (is that for pre FreePBX 14 ?) or should FreePBX 14 natively setup the ISDN cards?

Thanks very much for reading.

Peter.

Random Inbound Calls Failing

Our client is saying that they’re getting an error message when calling in along with random customers coming back as getting a message saying the number isn’t in service. I’ve never been able to replicate this myself when I’ve called in.

I’ve reached out to our SIP Provider and they say all calls show as completed on there end, I looked at the CDR logs then to see and I do see what might be the calls they’re referring to as I see them consecutively calling in.

Version 12.7.6-1904-1.sng7

I’ve attached two screen shots from what seem to be two examples of them calling in to test it and it not completing the call.

In the last 3 week I never found the message “Received incoming SIP connection” ?!?

My chan_sip SIP Setting:
username=xxxxxx@t-online.de
type=friend
secret=123456
qualify=yes
insecure=invite
host=tel.t-online.de
fromuser=0xxxxxxxx
fromdomain=tel.t-online.de
dtmfmode=rfc2833
directmedia=no
context=from-trunk
session-timers=refuse

SIP Settings:
Allow Anonymous Inbound SIP Calls=NO

Type=friend oder Type=peer doesn’t help.

If I reboot the raspberry the problem is fixed immediately, and everything is working fine for the next 4-6 weeks. I’ve been watching the problem for over one year now.

A cron reboot job every Sunday doesn’t help.

Hi All,

I’m trying to set up a PJSIP trunk between two FreePBX servers, but I’m not having much luck.

Does anyone have a barebones config for a working trunk they could share?

Thanks,
Josh
