Cisco 9xxx incoming video issue

@raoul wrote:

Long story short, I’ve been using this setup for the last 5 years, no issues. Currently running 13.28.1, all (video capable) endpoints Cisco 9xxx or 8xxx with unified camera.

I recently added a video (H264) EntryPhone, while all video calls work fine from Cisco to Cisco endpoint, I am unable to get Other endpoint (Softphone on mobile or new Entryphone) to Cisco to stream video, its audio only. I can see that the other endpoint is transmitting H264 &G722 but the Cisco is only receiving the audio part.
However if I do Cisco 9971 to Softphone on mobile I do get 2 way Video with H264.

I’m not exactly an expert, to date I’ve simply got what I need to work with the help of existing posts. I assume that I applied the video patch when I was building the PBX but to be honest its been so long I can’t remember.

Could anyone let me know if this is viable and where I maybe missing something.

Everything is okay except roaming between AP’s

It seems to cut out for a while. Does anyone have a similar setup with an optimum config for this?

Hello,

I have the following problem:

  1. I have my general Number: 1234, this general number is my offine Numer. I have set up an own extension “000” for this number. On the extension “000” I have a follow me always enabled, which redirects to my own extension “010” (with ringing music).

  2. When I am outside of office I active follow me for my extension “010” to my mobile number, this works. But if i Call my general Office Number, it won´t be redirected to my mobile phone. Why?

Second question: I have set the Initial Ring time to 0, but my office phone will always ring 1 second, before redirecting to mobile phone. Why is this?

Thanks a lot for your help!

Hello,

After few hours of not being used, our system get slow, slow when its time to place a call (internal and/or external) and also when a caller call in it could take up to 5 seconds before it ringing. But, when placing a second call right after the first one, it get connected instantly. It is normal or not?

Our system seem to be up-to-date.

Resetting web GUI access password

Is there a way to have PBX email who is logged into a ACD queue at a certain time?

I’m trying to think of a way where FPBX has a cronjob that runs every day at 8pm. That cronjob would check to see if anyone is still logged into an ACD queue, and if someone is, send out an email saying which phones are logged in (or just someone is still logged in).

Basically, we used to have a procedure in our office where at the end of the day last one out the door checks to make sure everyone is logged out of the helpdesk queue. However in this WFH world we are in, harder to know who is still working at the end of the day… and if someone forgot to logout.

It’s not a huge deal because we have timeouts on the helpdesk queue for callers waiting for a while.

But I thought maybe some sort of email blast saying, “hey dude you forgot to logout” might help.

any suggestions would be helpful.

Unable to locate the FreePBX BMO Class 'Userman'A required module might be disabled or uninstalled

This is now the second uc40 where I have had this very same issue. When I try to bring up the FreePBX gui, I get the following:
Unable to locate the FreePBX BMO Class 'Userman’A required module might be disabled or uninstalled.

I tried the recommended steps by running fwconsole ma install userman and fwconsole ma enable userman which then tells me that it’s already enabled.

I also tried fwconsole ma refresh signatures and fwconsole sa update and fwconsole chown. None of that has brought the UI back up.

This is running Asterisk 13.29.2

I really don’t want to have to do a complete reinstall of this server if at all possible. The system works in that I’m able to take and make calls. I just can’t use the UI to make any configuration changes.

I am wanting to test out freepbx for my org. We have mitel phones that i would like to use. looking at the documentation it shows them as being supported. long term goal would be to migrate our existing configs from prem mitel 3300 to freepbx and decommission it but i understand it might just be used as reference for what would need to setup freepbx from scratch.

big questions, can the mitel phones connect to freepbx hosted server with out any additional equipment onsite. I purchased a sip truck from Avoxi to do some testing with and will be signing up a basic freepbx hosted server through that provider listed on the freepbx site. We have fortigate firewall, 5330 mitel phones, 1g fiber internet connection.

Anyone else experiencing this? Or know of a f fix? Is it a 15 bug?

Hi,

i have some problems with the voicemail in freepbx. The first one is a problem with the german language.

The digits exist,

i can put it in english but some colleagues don’t understand english so german would be better but as workaround okay.

The last problem I have with the Yealink T46s is that when I delete the voicemail, it is obviously not deleted from the phone. It still shows that there is a message and it is not possible to delete it. Currently I have to do this manually in freepbx.

Thanks in advance for the help

Error when Adding New System Recording

@lm699 wrote:

Hi,

I would like upload .mp3 file on the Add New System Recording’s module. But, when I choose file it saying “unsupported format”. OK. On previous install with same configuration (asterisk & freepbx) it worked.

So, I upload .wav format. When I press “submit” button, it saying “If you are doing media conversions this can take a very long time, is that ok?”, I choose “Ok”, and it saying “There was an error, See the console for more details” (how to access console ? asterisk’s console was blank)

To resolve it, I tried to following this fix :
then add these lines to it…

[files]
astctlpermissions = 0660
astctlowner = asterisk
astctlgroup = pbx
astctl = asterisk.ctl

From other forum when the people have the same troubble.

My asterisk version is : Asterisk 16.9.0 (via asterisk -rvvv)
My freepbx version is FreePBX 15.0.16.44 (via web interface)
OS : Linux vps 4.9.0-12-amd64 #1 SMP Debian 4.9.210-1 (2020-01-20) x86_64 GNU/Linux

I followed tutorial from computingforgeeks to install freepbx from sources.
(I tried to following steps by official wiki, but it doesn’t work. I have to many errors.)

Thank for help :slight_smile:

Hi all,
Just installed freshly my Freepbx ( FreePBX 15.0.16.49 )
Logging in , in the dashboard I get a 504 timeout error, and the system overview is not loading. I get “There was an error asking for Overview. Check the error logs for more information.”
Which log file should I check exactly , I checked already :
freepbx.log
full ( only have ERROR[9959] config_options.c: Unable to load config file ‘cel.conf’, but for me it is not the issue )
Asterisk is running ( runned it with fwconsole -vvv ) , I have no errors
anyone with any insights ?
Thanks

UCP SMS widget not interactive

Okay. Had a client request the capability of SMS texting. Lucien Wilcox @ tech support has been helping me out getting the SIPSTATION portion working. Thanks Lucien.

So I can send texts OUT using the UCP SMS conversation window. But, the conversation widget is not interactive. I mean by that if someone responds back with a SMS text, or has send an initial SMS text to the DID, it does not update in the UCP SMS Conversation window.

If I open and close the Conversation History widget, the inbound texts appear. But this is pain in the butt to have a conversation with. Any suggestions?

Also, are there other toolsets within FreePBX (e.g. Zulu, iSymphony, others) that work interactively with SMS?

I believe its because I need to have the lib directory & spool in a diferetn place.

However asterisk will start if I tel systemd to start it.

Any ideas on what i need to fix. Asterisk does start with systemd as well as asterisk -c start at command prompt.

is there a Two Factor Auth solution for logging into the management interface of Freepbx? I did a search and found one person who asked this and there was supposedly 1 reply, but its been removed and the topic was closed. So figured I would ask again. Maybe a Sangoma Module or something?

Thank you

Hyperv insanity?

So i would like to see how insane I am before venturing too far down this road. We are a small CSP with about 30 customers. Most have unique requirements so we run each of those FPBX 14/Asterisk16 in a 3rd party cloud IAAS provider (Vultr). They work well until there is a noisy neighbor or a switch goes sideways.

My thought is to do as follows:
A. Secure a 1/2 rack at a very good Data Center
B. Put (2) HyperV 2016 servers with 256G + storage in a cluster (for failover); connected to a third 2016 Server running SMB3 and fiber connected to the 2 custered servers (RAID 10) - cluster is run using the recommended 3-4 NICs for data isolation.
C. Run all clients in the two servers - and as we get beyond 50 or so VMs (memory dependent) add another of the same style server to the cluster (n+1)
D. We don’t intend on running the FPBX HA module, but leverage HyperVs tools + shared SMB3 storage
E. PFsense in front of all of it w/ all Virtual IPs

Is this crazy for 100+ VMs w/ FPBX14 / Asterisk16?

Boy would give a leg for a Multi-Tenant FPBX version as you can imagine!

No email notification for module updates

FreePBX 14 Distro 14.0.13.26

I have been running FreePBX 14 Distro since 11/2018.
I have always gotten email notifications for system updates.
I have never gotten an email notification for a module update.
I scheduled a check for this morning.
/var/log/asterisk/freepbx.log shows that a check found 26 modules available for update.
/var/log/maillog does not show any attempt to send email.

See attached screenshot of FreePBX Alerts settings.
